Salt systems automatically produce chlorine from salt, reducing manual chemical addition.

Step 1: Choose Installation Location

Mount cell after filter and heater. Control box should be near pump within 15 feet of cell.

Step 2: Install Salt Cell

Cut into return line. Install unions before and after cell for easy removal. Ensure proper flow direction.

Step 3: Mount Control Box

Install control box on wall near equipment. Provide dedicated electrical circuit if required.

Step 4: Wire System

Connect cell cable to control box. Wire power according to manufacturer specifications.

Step 5: Add Salt

Add required salt amount (typically 50 lbs per 2000 gallons). Brush to dissolve.

Step 6: Program and Test

Set production level and timer. Run system and verify chlorine production after 24 hours.
